Emerald City Comicon is offering a very special prize this year, and you don't even need to buy a raffle ticket to win! All CSTS Seattle ticket holders will be entered in a drawing to win two weekend passes to Emerald City Comicon 2012 and an exclusive backstage meet-and-greet with one of the media guests (for the winner and a guest)! The value of the passes alone is a huge donation, but the meet-and-greet opportunity is above and beyond the call of generosity. The meet-and-greet is exactly what it says: exclusive. It will be almost private access to the star (TBD) and an opportunity to take a photo with him/her and get something signed.
Also see the list below for a brand-new prize from the Jet City Comic Show.
The raffle is one of the most anticipated elements of Can't Stop the Serenity. Companies and individuals support our cause by donating all kinds of great things. We separate those items into about 6-10 raffle packs (depending on how many items we get). In front of each pack is a list of what's inside and a little bucket. If you want to try to win that raffle pack, you may drop as many raffle tickets as you want into its bucket. The more tickets you put in a single bucket, the more chances you have to win!
Immediately following the screening of Serenity, we will draw for the raffle winners and call out the numbers on the raffle tickets. You must be present to win. If your number matches, you get to walk away with all that great swag.
We will also be having an extra-special raffle pack with the primo goodies in it for the event ticket holders. We will draw that winner after the live music. (See Events page for details.) Again, you must be present to win.
Raffle tickets cost $1 each and will be available for sale here online and on the day of the event. You can purchase as many as you want after seeing the merchandise.
If you are interested in donating to the raffle, please contact us at info [at] cstsseattle [dot] org.
In addition to the raffle, we have some really top-notch swag this year that will be auctioned off. Prepurchased raffle tickets not used in any raffle baskets can be used at their face value ($1 each) for auction items. In other words, if you buy a raffle ticket and would rather use it for an auction item, you may do so if you win the auction and the ticket is intact (you hold both portions of the ticket).
Some of the shiny swag available this year in raffles and auctions is listed here (in no particular order) (donor in parentheses):
